Went school for meeting .. The lecturer for MM is starting to get on our nerves.. He seems to think his students is doing the bulk of the work when in actual fact they did practically nothing except maybe the drilling of several holes and the procurement of the aroma puffer.. Both the EEE students and CLS students are literally pissed off with his attitude .. Gosh .. The lecturer was going on about how much he love challenges .. It should be a huge challenge to grade his MM students when they did practically nothing .. Birds of the same feather do flock together indeed.. Had KFC for lunch ... headed home to sleep for the rest of the day immediately after that..
EQ.. better known as Emotional Intelligence is the capacity for effectively recognising and managing our own emotions and those of others. In this society, the importance of EQ is ever-rising .. Though IQ is still the main factor in employment, more and more company are looking for employees who have high EQ, this is mainly due to the fact that people are now more aware that things like inter-personal relationship skills are getting more and more important.. I do not dare to say that my EQ is high or whatsoever, this is due to the fact that i tend to be pretty stubborn and that is what is keeping my EQ on the low side .. But for these few days, i just met 3 people who have lower EQ than me .. a Dentist, an Admin, a lecturer...
Being a dentist is a highly paid job, there is also a huge sense of responsibility that comes with it.. Yes.. Its not easy to be a dentist, they have to be extremely smart and be a certain caliber to be able to get a licence to practise dentistry from Singapore Dental council.. But there are more to being a dentist than just being smart.. A dentist have to be able to communicate well with your patients .. There should be a mutual trust between both a dentist and patient as a patient puts his/her trust on the dentist to do the best for them .. But if a dentist have a retarded attitude ... The patients will slowly keep away from him/her ....
In one of the forums i frequent .. Saw this offensive act by an admin .. The admin edited the profile of one of the users.. He broke one of the most basic rule of forum etiquette.. privacy ... Several people are on his side .. Most are not .. i think =p ... Although different forums have different rules .. All the forums should have this set of unwritten rules... Basic forum etiquette so as to speak .. He should try to expose himself to other forums more and learn how to be a proper admin ...
Lastly is the "moronic" MM lecturer haa .. He was bragging about how "brave" he was when he took up the job of our being one of our supervisors 2 months back .. He was backing the MM side all the way, feeling that there have done more than required despite the tight time frame .. He even looked down on the CLS students feeling they did nothing much .. The tension was extremely high during that period.. Everyone from the EEE and CLS bunch wanted to give the lecturer a piece of their mind .. But held back, although he may be wrong in siding with the MM, he's a lecturer nonetheless.. Basic respect is a must .. I wonder what will happen during the next meeting with this lecturer again.. that will be in 3 weeks time .. I can't wait to see the expression on his face when all of us submit our reports ... Heh ..
Seem i kinda went off track for a moment there .. Back to EQ .. as i was saying, if the driving force of intelligence in the 20th century is IQ .. then in the 21st century .. the driving force is definitely EQ, and related and practical forms of practical and creative intelligence.. This "New" form of intelligence will be the heart-level engine that drives companies forward.. A trend is now appearing .. Many people who are book-smart but lack EQ end up working for people who have lower IQ but who excel in EQ skills.. I should sought to be a better person with a high EQ and a average IQ then one with high IQ and average EQ ... So what kind of a person are you ?? Are you book-smart or do you have a high capacity for understanding emotions of people ..
